I want to give Judo a try... How do I get involved?
The first trial session is free for all beginners after which you pay a visitors fee until you become a member of our club. Click here to see our fees... What do I need to bring to my first session? Either fill out a beginners consent form and bring it with you on your first session or complete a form at the club office when you arrive. (Please note under 18 year old's must be accompanied by an adult.) What do I need to wear?
We recommend that beginners wear jogging bottoms and a "T" shirt during their trial period. We can lend you a Gi top to wear during your trial period. Once you have decided to join up you can then buy your own Gi from the club office. Do I have to join up straight away?
As a beginner you can try out judo for a maximum of 4 sessions. By your 5th session you must have joined the BJA. I'm keen to take up Judo ... What do I do next?
If you decide Judo is for you then the next step is to become a member of our club and also the British Judo Association (BJA). How do I join the British Judo Association? The quickest and easiest way of joining the BJA is to apply online by following the link below which will take you directly to the appropriate section of their website. How do I join the V & E Judo Club? To become a member of the V & E Judo Club pick up an application form at the club office or follow the link below to print an application form below.
